  • Loved your plugin, but since version 0.6.2 and since a move to a WP Network install, i have troubles with the thumbnails, they don’t show up anymore. Any idea why?

Have WP3.3.1 installed and only two other plugins currently running:
    – Lightbox Plus
    – MP Spam Be Gone

i have even disabled the other two plugins, but no effect, neither with v0.6.2 nor with v0.6.3

  • hi there, I recently installed your plugin and I noticed you don’t have an author option. Could you please add this? I will donate money for this too!

    Thank you

  • Rather than the slider quickly slide all the way back to the first post, is there a way I can change it to slide forward to the next post? as if it was showing the next post, rather than going back to the first

  • Hi. I really like your RPS. However, I have one issue. It doesn’t seem to work in the No Comment, No Sidebar template at all. Can you explain why?

  • Can you help me please, i choose a width 750 and height 170, with 6 post in each slide and the total post is 12, but it shows only 6 post on the first slide and when it navigate to the second slide it shows nothing, what the problem could be ?

  • Since the last update of WordPress the Recent Post Slider has stopped working. All I get is one dot on my screen, but the slider does not work. Can it be that there is a conflict? I love this plugin as it makes my blog look so much more ‘alive’.
Would love to hear from you.

  • This is on of my favorite plugin. But i have little problem – it show me in pagination 4 posts – but all time it is one, the last post. I dont see other posts. I have special category to choose post to this plugin. I don’t know what happend.
    Please help me.

  • Hi there! I’m running 0.6.3 on a WordPress 3.3.2 site, and the plugin is generating errors, and not displaying thumbnails. I get this in the admin when making any changes:

Warning: substr() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in /home/my_site/public_html/wp-content/plugins/recent-posts-slider/recent-posts-slider.php on line 184

Upon further investigation, I found that rps_img_src is being erased. I manually added the paths in to the database, and the thumbnails re-appeared. I published a new blog post, and the values for every thumbnail in the slider were erased again. Any insight? I really like using the slider when it works correctly.

  • A final note here…I deactivated and reactivated the plugin, and got this:

The plugin generated 1025 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice โ€œheaders already sentโ€ messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

  • OK, so further review found that resize_image was returning a WP_Error object. I modified the script to add verbose error reporting, and resize_image spit out an addition to the substr warning:

    GD Image Library not installed

Called the host, they verified, they’re correcting, and hopefully, this will be resolved shortly.

  • Corrected. So, perhaps you might want to include verbose error handling on image_resize in future versions?

(Or a compatibility check for GD Image on the server).

  • Hey, I just now downloaded this plugin and uploaded to my site. But in any way it shows me just a dot. ๐Ÿ™
Can someone help my what did I wrong?

  • I cant activate the plugin. Fatal error…

Warning: imagejpeg(): Unable to open ‘/www/htdocs/kleebl/datenquellen/bilder/spiele_12-13_002-238×180.jpg’ for writing: No authorization in /www/htdocs/kleebl/wp-includes/media.php on line 455

  • thank you for ur plugin, buy it seems can not use in my site, can not be activated, which says: “Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home/egoucom/public_html/wp-content/plugins/recent-posts-slider/recent-posts-slider.php on line 184” would you pls help me with it? thank you!
